Tesla Sued After Cybertruck Doors Allegedly Trapped Student in Fiery Crash

The tragic death of a California college student has sparked outrage and a lawsuit that could reshape safety standards for electric vehicles, centering on the Tesla Cybertruck doors.

Krysta Tsukahara, 19, was among four victims killed in a crash last November when a Tesla Cybertruck slammed into a retaining wall and tree in Piedmont, California. While witnesses confirmed Tsukahara survived the initial crash, she was trapped inside the burning vehicle and died of smoke inhalation and burns. According to a lawsuit filed by her parents, Carl and Noelle Tsukahara, the truck’s electronic door system failed after losing power, leaving her unable to escape.

“It’s just a horror story,” said family attorney Roger Dreyer. “Tesla knows that it’s happened and that it’s going to happen, and they are doing nothing but selling the car with a system that entraps people and doesn’t provide a way of extraction.” The suit claims Tesla was aware of similar issues with its door system, citing over 30 incidents, yet offered no adequate solution.

Tesla’s high-tech handleless door design, powered by a 12-volt battery, is alleged to lack a “functional, accessible, and conspicuous manual door release mechanism.” The lawsuit argues this shows “a conscious disregard” for consumer safety.

Nelson’s parents have also filed a wrongful death suit against Tesla, seeking punitive damages. While authorities noted drugs and speeding played a role, Dreyer insists, “This vehicle absolutely should not have entombed these individuals and my clients’ daughter. It’s our way of holding the wrongdoer accountable.”

Manchester Synagogue Attack: Terror Suspect Out on Bail Before Rampage

The Manchester synagogue terror attack that left two dead and three injured has reignited debate over Britain’s lax bail policies after police confirmed the terrorist, Jihad al-Shamie, had been released while under investigation for rape.

According to The Guardian, al-Shamie—a Syrian-born British citizen—had also accumulated multiple criminal convictions before launching his car-ramming and stabbing assault outside a Manchester synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year. The New York Times reported that authorities at Greater Manchester Police were “investigating al-Shamie for rape” and that “he was out on bail at the time of the attack.”

The 35-year-old was shot dead by police after killing two and injuring three others. The attack was declared a terrorist incident, and three additional suspects were later arrested. Investigators are still reviewing al-Shamie’s background, which includes disturbing ties to anti-Israel extremism.

The Telegraph reported that al-Shamie’s father had previously praised Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in Israel as a “miracle,” adding, “men like these prove they are Allah’s men on earth.” Authorities are also probing whether al-Shamie was the same “Jihad Alshamie” who, in 2012, sent threats to a Conservative member of Parliament over support for Israel’s military actions in Gaza.

The terror attack has sparked outrage across the U.K., as critics question how a man with a violent record and open extremist sympathies remained free.

Trump Vows Troops Will Get ‘Every Last Penny’ as Democrat Shutdown Freezes Military Pay

President Donald Trump on Saturday promised America’s men and women in uniform that they will receive “every last penny” of their pay once the government shutdown ends — even as thousands of military families face delayed checks and shuttered base services.

Speaking at an event celebrating the U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary, Trump directly addressed the growing frustration among service members affected by what he called a “Democrat-induced shutdown.” “I want you to know that despite the current Democrat-induced shutdown, we will get our servicemembers every last penny,” Trump declared. “Don’t worry about it, it’s all coming.”

The shutdown has frozen pay for active-duty troops and furloughed thousands of civilian War Department employees. Critical family support programs — including child care centers, commissaries, and on-base services — have been scaled back, leaving families struggling to cover sudden expenses.

At a previous appearance in Quantico, Trump also announced his plan to secure a 3.8% across-the-board pay raise for every service member. “Something you weren’t getting from the past administration,” he said, drawing applause from military leaders in attendance.

Trump has consistently placed blame for the shutdown on Democrats, accusing them of holding military families hostage for political gain. Before departing for Norfolk, he posted on Truth Social that Democrats were attempting “to destroy this wonderful celebration of the U.S. Navy’s Birthday,” before adding defiantly, “I believe, ‘THE SHOW MUST GO ON!’”

Abbott Approves National Guard to Sanctuary States

Texas Governor Greg Abbott authorized President Donald Trump to sends hundreds of members of the Texas National Guard to sanctuary states.

“I fully authorized the President to call up 400 members of the Texas National Guard to ensure safety for federal officials,” Abbot wrote in response to a statement from Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. “You can either fully enforce protection for federal employees or get out of the way and let Texas Guard do it.”

“No Guard can match the training, skill, and expertise of the Texas National Guard,” he wrote. “They defend our country with pride. America must also know that Texas still has thousands of National Guard assisting with the Border security.”

Prizker said on Sunday evening that the Texas National Guard’s presence in Illinois, Oregon, and other states is an “invasion.”

“It started with federal agents, it will soon include deploying federalized members of the Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and it will now involve sending in another state’s military troops,” the Democrat governor condemned. “I call on Governor Abbott to immediately withdraw any support for this decision and refuse to coordinate. There is no reason a President should send military troops into a sovereign state without their knowledge, consent, or cooperation.”

The matter comes as War Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a memorandum to Abbott’s office for the authorization of the National Guard members. It stated that President Trump “determined that violent incidents, as well as the credible threat of continued violence, are impeding the execution of the laws of the United States in Illinois, Oregon, and other locations throughout the United States.”

Greta Thunberg’s ‘Brazen Lies’ Backfire as Israel Calls out False Jail Claims

Climate activist Greta Thunberg’s latest controversy has sparked outrage in Israel after the government dismissed her alleged jailhouse complaints as “brazen lies.” The accusation came after reports claimed Thunberg endured harsh conditions in an Israeli detention center following her arrest during the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla earlier this month.

According to The Guardian, Thunberg told Swedish officials she suffered rashes from bedbugs and dehydration during her brief stay in custody. She also reportedly described her treatment as “harsh and exhausting.” But Israeli officials strongly reject those claims, saying every detainee — including Thunberg — received proper care.

In a statement posted to X, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said all detainees’ “legal rights were fully upheld” and insisted Thunberg “did not complain to Israeli authorities about any of these ludicrous and baseless allegations because they never occurred.” The ministry reaffirmed that every activist had “access to food, water, legal counsel and medical care.”

Court documents from Thunberg’s hearing before Israel’s Population and Migration Tribunal also support the government’s account, showing she requested deportation but made no formal mistreatment complaints.

Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir went further, calling the flotilla participants “supporters of terrorism” and saying he was “proud they experienced the same conditions as terrorist detainees.” His blunt assessment underscores the Israeli position — that Thunberg’s “brazen lies” have once again exposed her activism as more performance than principle.

A Second Arkansas Bear Attack WithOne Month Claims Camper’s Life

An Arkansas bear attack that claimed the life of a 60-year-old Missouri man has stunned residents and wildlife officials, raising new concerns about the growing danger of predator encounters in rural America.

Authorities found the man’s body near Mt. Judea, Arkansas, just days after he sent photos of a bear wandering through his campsite. The Newton County Sheriff’s Department said the victim suffered “extensive injuries consistent with those expected from a large carnivore attack.” Sheriff Glenn Wheeler confirmed, “We know without a doubt that a bear was in camp with our victim and the injuries absolutely are consistent with a bear attack.”

Officials are now searching for the bear, believed to be a young male, while keeping the campground at Sam’s Throne closed to the public. Wheeler cautioned residents to remain vigilant: avoid leaving food near campsites, don’t approach bears, and carry bear spray or other defensive tools.

This marks the second bear attack in Arkansas in a month — a chilling reminder that nature is not always peaceful. The last confirmed fatal bear attack in the state before this year occurred in 1892.

Keith Stephens of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission captured the disbelief many share, saying, “These things just don’t happen… It’s not even in my realm of comprehension. I’m really in shock today.”

His words echo a broader truth: Americans who treasure the outdoors must now balance freedom and adventure with caution and respect for a wild that sometimes bites back.

Supreme Court Rejects Ghislaine Maxwell’s Appeal

The Supreme Court rejected an appeal from Ghislaine Maxwell in her sex trafficking case.

An order list issued on Monday revealed that the court would hear the case this term.

“We’re, of course, deeply disappointed that the Supreme Court declined to hear Ghislaine Maxwell’s case,” Maxwell’s lawyer, David Oscar Markus, said in a statement. “But this fight isn’t over. Serious legal and factual issues remain, and we will continue to pursue every avenue available to ensure that justice is done.”

In her petition to the Supreme Court, Maxwell claimed the “government tries to distract by reciting a lurid and irrelevant account of Jeffrey Epstein’s misconduct. But this case is about what the government promised, not what Epstein did.”

“The government’s argument, across the board, is essentially an appeal to what it wishes the agreement had said, rather than what it actually says,” the court documents added. “Of course, if wishful thinking were the standard, the whole [non-prosecution agreement] would have been thrown out long ago.”

Maxwell similarly appealed to the Supreme Court in April, arguing that the United States violated its non-prosecution agreement. “Only because the United States did so in the Second Circuit and not elsewhere, her motion to dismiss the indictment was denied, her trial proceeded, and she is now serving a 20-year sentence,” the filing read.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with Maxwell earlier this year in a closed-door session. Markus said the meetings were “very productive,” and emphasized that the Epstein associate has answered all questions without invoking any privilege. “She has no reason to lie at this point,” Markus told reporters. “We’re grateful for this opportunity to finally be able to say what really happened.”

Mount Everest Blizzard Exposes China’s Failures, Hundreds Stranded in Freezing Conditions

A blizzard that struck Mount Everest and Tibet’s Karma Valley this weekend left nearly 1,000 hikers stranded in brutal conditions — and exposed just how unprepared Chinese authorities remain for natural disasters in remote regions.

The storm hit during China’s National Day holiday, dumping snow across the eastern Kangshung face of Everest and trapping hikers at elevations over 13,000 feet. According to state media, “at least 350 people have so far reached safety,” while hundreds more remain cut off.

China’s response has relied heavily on villagers and volunteer groups, not central government forces. “It was so wet and cold in the mountains, and hypothermia was a real risk,” trekker Chen Geshuang told Reuters. Her account highlights how survival often depends on local heroism, not Beijing’s bureaucracy.

Rescue efforts have been slow as snow-blocked roads delayed teams and heavy machinery. Authorities even suspended ticket sales and closed entry to the Everest Scenic Area — an admission of failure disguised as caution. Meanwhile, the same storm system has killed at least 47 people in neighboring Nepal, underscoring the devastating regional impact.

France’s Political Crisis Worsens as Latest PM and Cabinet Resign

France’s ongoing political crisis intensified Monday when newly appointed Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu resigned just hours after finalizing his cabinet which likewise dissolved—marking the shortest-lived government in modern French history. The shocking move sent markets tumbling, with Paris’ CAC 40 dropping more than 1.5% and the euro sliding 0.7% to $1.1665.

Lecornu, President Emmanuel Macron’s fifth prime minister in just two years, stepped down after facing immediate threats from both allies and opponents who vowed to topple his administration. Explaining his decision, Lecornu cited the “egos” of opposition figures unwilling to compromise and urged unity, saying, “You should always prefer your country to your party.”

Opposition leaders from across the spectrum demanded Macron’s resignation or snap elections. “Macron must now choose: dissolution or resignation, and fast!” declared the right-wing National Rally (RN) party. Leader of RN, Marine Le Pen, called the situation a “farce,” while far-left leader Mathilde Panot said, “Lecornu resigns. Three prime ministers defeated in less than a year. The countdown has begun. Macron must go.”

The resignation highlights a worsening political crisis in France. Since Macron’s 2022 re-election, no party has held a parliamentary majority, leaving the president unable to govern effectively. As markets falter and France’s debt climbs to over 113.9% of GDP, even moderates warn the instability could spill over into Europe.

“It’s just one government after another… this is the major problem for French assets,” said Chris Beauchamp of IG Group.

Dana White Promises ‘Greatest Fight Card Ever’ for Historic White House UFC Event

UFC President Dana White announced plans for what he called the “greatest fight card ever assembled,” set to take place at the White House in June 2026. The unprecedented event would mark the first time in history that a professional mixed martial arts competition is held on the South Lawn, coinciding with America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

White confirmed discussions with President Trump about hosting the landmark event, calling it a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase the best fighters in the world at one of the most iconic places on earth.” Planning is still underway, but the UFC aims to produce a large-scale outdoor card that blends athletic spectacle with patriotic celebration.

While no matchups have been confirmed, several major fighters have expressed interest, including Conor McGregor and Jon Jones. White said the promotion’s current focus is finalizing its transition to Paramount but promised that attention will soon shift fully to the White House event. “We’re going to put together a massive, incredible card—something that truly represents the greatness of this country and this sport,” White said.

According to early reports, the UFC is prepared to invest heavily in logistics, including replacing portions of the South Lawn turf at an estimated cost nearing $1 million to accommodate the octagon and spectator area. The card is expected to include both title fights and high-profile crossover bouts to draw global attention.

The partnership between President Trump and Dana White continues a long-standing friendship that has helped position the UFC as a patriotic brand aligned with themes of discipline, competition, and American perseverance. Hosting a fight event at the White House would symbolize a blend of sport, politics, and cultural pride—fitting for the nation’s semiquincentennial year.

If finalized, the 2026 UFC White House event could become one of the most-watched fight cards in combat sports history, reflecting both the sport’s global reach and its deep roots in American culture.
