New Video Shows Hammer Attack on Nancy Pelosi’s Husband (Video)

Body-camera footage released on Friday shows the struggle for a hammer during an attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, in the couple’s San Francisco home last year.

The footage shows the suspect, David DePape, wresting the tool from Paul Pelosi, 82, and lunging at him with the hammer over his head.

The blow to Pelosi occurs out of the camera’s view and the officers rush into the house and apprehend DePape.

The release of the footage comes after a coalition of news agencies sought access to the evidence that prosecutors played in open court last month.

A state court judge ruled that there was no reason to keep the video secret.

Moreover, additional surveillance footage was also released, showing the moment suspect David DePape broke into the Pelosis’ residence armed with a hammer.

The footage, which was ordered to be released by Judge Stephen Murphy, shows DePape wandering around the backyard of the property before returning with two bags, one of which contains the hammer.

He is seen putting on gloves and breaking a glass door at the back of the house before climbing through and entering the home.
