Musk Says Biden Admin May ‘Weaponize Federal Agencies Against Twitter’ If Trump Returns to Platform

As reported by NBC News, former President Trump is pushing for Facebook to reinstate his account, which has been locked since Jan 7, 2021, the day after the U.S. Capitol riot.

Trump is also considering a return to Twitter after his account was restored in November, according to an anonymous NBC source, following SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s takeover of the platform.

In response to this news, Musk tweeted, “Will be interesting to see how the Biden administration reacts to this. They may try to weaponize Federal agencies against Twitter.”

This statement by Musk comes a week after House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) officially launched the GOP’s investigation into the finances of the Biden family, as well as allegations surrounding President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

Comer also sent letters to former top executives at Twitter, requesting they testify about their involvement in how the platform handled news reporting about information allegedly found on Hunter Biden’s laptop, according to The Hill.

Comer claimed these executives played a role in “suppressing” public access to information about the Biden family on Twitter ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

President Trump initially indicated that he would remain on his own platform, Truth Social, after his Twitter account suspension was lifted.
