MSNBC Cancels Joy Reid’s Show as Network Tries to Revamp Failing Lineup

MSNBC is finally pulling the plug on Joy Reid’s primetime show, The ReidOut, after years of pushing far-left narratives, race-baiting, and conspiracy theories. According to multiple reports, the program will air its final episode this week.

Reid’s show, which has been a fixture of MSNBC’s declining lineup for the past five years, will be replaced by a panel-style program featuring three anchors: Symone Sanders Townsend, a former Democratic strategist, Michael Steele, a former RNC chairman who frequently attacks conservatives, and journalist Alicia Menendez.

The New York Times reported that the decision is part of a major shake-up orchestrated by MSNBC’s new president, Rebecca Kutler. However, the network has yet to make an official statement on the move.

Reid, who has built a reputation for divisive rhetoric and spreading debunked conspiracy theories, has long been a controversial figure. She has openly smeared conservatives, pushed radical race-based narratives, and falsely claimed that her old homophobic blog posts were the result of hacking.

Last month, Reid made a controversial claim, alleging that the “billionaire right” plans to exploit the destruction caused by the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires to create “apartheid-like conditions” in Southern California.

Reid argued that wealthy elites aim to capitalize on the devastation by acquiring burned properties at low prices, ultimately displacing minorities and consolidating power in the state. “The people losing the most in Los Angeles County aren’t the rich, faded celebrities,” Reid stated, suggesting that wealthy investors are circling the affected areas with exploitative intentions.

Reid further accused conservative billionaires of intending to reshape California with policies that mirror Republican-led states like Florida and Texas. “They can drive out the brown people and the black and Asian people, or just sink them into the same apartheid they’ve created in Texas,” Reid claimed.

Her cancellation marks another embarrassment for the left-wing network, which has struggled to maintain viewership in the wake of Donald Trump’s return to political dominance. Reports from last December indicated that MSNBC even asked Reid to take a pay cut from her $3 million salary as ratings plummeted.

While MSNBC scrambles to rebrand, it’s clear that Americans are tuning out radical, race-obsessed propaganda—and Joy Reid is just the latest casualty.
