McCarthy to Host ‘Sound of Freedom’ Screening

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy is hosting a screening of “Sound of Freedom.”

Actor Jim Caviezel and Tim Ballard, the man who inspired the film, will be joining him.

McCarthy hopes the special screening will “improve the culture in Congress.”

The House Speaker wrote on Twitter, “This week, I started a bipartisan movie night to improve the culture in Congress. We kicked off with a screening of “Lincoln” with opening remarks from the author of “Team of Rivals.”

The screening is set to take place on July 25th.

Donald Trump also hosted a special screening of the film at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

“It’s setting records, by the way. It’s [beating] some of the biggest movies out – summer blockbusters; it’s knocking the socks off of them, so that’s pretty good,” Trump said to the audience.
