Left-wing pop icon Lizzo, now a vocal Kamala Harris 2024 campaign surrogate, went on a radical anti-ICE tirade Thursday on Bluesky, posting a string of controversial statements that mocked American sovereignty and embraced fringe leftist ideology. In one post, she claimed there is “no such thing as borders” or property ownership, only to contradict herself moments later by suggesting U.S. land actually belongs to Mexicans.
“There’s no such thing as ‘illegal,’ there are no ‘borders,’ no one really ‘owns’ the land on this planet,” Lizzo posted to her followers. She followed with ideological claims about capitalism and racism being to blame for immigration enforcement, stating, “When people finally understand that these terms and ideas are tools for racism and capitalism we can truly be free.”
In a follow-up post, Lizzo declared the “irony” of ICE agents removing illegal aliens of Mexican descent from American soil, ignoring the basic premise of national borders and legal immigration systems. She described the process as forcing Mexicans off their “ancestral land,” despite the fact that Los Angeles was founded by Spanish settlers and has been U.S. territory since the mid-19th century.
Lizzo added to the confusion with a third post repeating leftist slogans, writing, “Someone said what’s happening right now in LA isn’t immigration policy — it’s regime prep.” She concluded her rant by criticizing Americans who support law enforcement and immigration control, remarking, “There are people who voted for this who are going to sleep with a smile on their faces… It’s a wild world y’all.”
The contradictions in her posts reflect a growing trend among left-wing activists who simultaneously deny national sovereignty and demand land be reassigned based on ideology. Her commentary aligns with the rhetoric fueling radical anti-ICE protests in cities like Los Angeles, where demonstrators waved Mexican and Palestinian flags and invoked militant slogans.
Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow noted on The Alex Marlow Show that Lizzo’s logic collapses under basic historical scrutiny, pointing out that Los Angeles was never originally “Mexican land” and questioning why activists ignore the complex history of territorial claims and indigenous populations.
Despite her role in the Kamala Harris campaign, Lizzo’s statements have gone unchallenged by mainstream Democrats, raising questions about how far the party will go in embracing far-left rhetoric in 2024.
