Rep. Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) bags were stolen from his parked car before a dinner party in San Francisco this week.
Schiff, who is campaigning for California’s Senate seat, was in the city when his luggage was taken from his car parked at a downtown garage.
The incident reportedly left the congressman in his shirt, wearing a hiking vest over a dark blue shirt and gray pants to the fancy dinner.
The dinner was reportedly attended by attorney Joe Cotchett who Schiff thanked for backing him to replace the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).
“Yes, they took my bags,” Schiff told the San Francisco Chronicle. “But I’m here to thank Joe.”
“I guess it’s ‘Welcome to San Francisco,’ ” Cotchett’s press agent Lee Houskeeper said about the incident.
