Hundreds of Lebanese Christians have fled their homes in southern Lebanon following Israeli airstrikes and evacuation orders as the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah intensifies.
Many have sought refuge in a nearby monastery.
Lebanon, home to the second-largest Christian population in the Middle East, consists of various Christian denominations, including Maronite Catholics, Melkite Greek Catholics, Greek Orthodox, and Armenian Christians.
While historically centered in areas like Jounieh, Mount Lebanon, and Zahle, Christian communities are scattered throughout the country, coexisting with Shia, Sunni, and Druze populations.
