While on Steve Bannon’s War Room, former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake said the House of Representatives should look to “decertify” the 2020 election.
By decertifying the election, Joe Biden would be removed as president.
“All that January 6 was a staged riot to cover up the fact that they certified a fraudulent election,” Lake said.
She added, “If we just go back and deal with this fraudulent election and what happened in 2020, we don’t have to impeach him because he really isn’t, in my opinion and many others if you look at the evidence, the true president.”
Should a decertification occur, Donald Trump would become president.
There is no law describing a decertification process, only impeachment.
Reporting from RedState:
There are other issues to deal with here as well. For example, after the federal government put out its questionable intelligence report stating that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, did the Democrat-led House then have the ability to decertify the election and install Hillary Clinton as president? If not, why would Republicans have that power now? The answer remains obvious that no one has that power. To remove a president, it’s impeachment or bust.
