Joe Biden Is Trying to Force Christian Doctors to Kill Babies in Abortions

Joe Biden is such a “devout Catholic,” that he wants to force Christian doctors to kill babies in abortions.

Fresh from a defeat in court over his own administrative rule attempting to require Christian doctors and nurses to perform or promote abortions, Biden is now attempting to repeal a pro-life rule President Donald Trump implemented in 2019 to ensure that the conscience rights of such medical professions is respected.

In May, 2019, Trump issued new rules that further protect doctors, nurses and medical professionals who don’t want to be forced to do abortions or refer for them. Trump announced new regulations through the Department of Health and Human Services that will more effectively enforce existing federal laws that protect the conscience rights of healthcare providers.

Despite current law that has protected conscience rights for over 30 years, the lack of regulations resulted in confusion and a lack of awareness within the healthcare community, leaving pro-life healthcare personnel vulnerable to discrimination and forcing them to drop their specialties at a time of healthcare scarcity.

The 440 pages of new regulations, issued by HHS Secretary Alex Azar, would have provided regulatory backbone to the First Amendment conscience rights of Americans working in the medical profession and will help ensure that no doctor or nurse will be be forced to violate their conscience while serving patients.

The Trump rule would have stripped federal taxpayer funding from any medical entity that tried to force Christian medical workers to promote or perform abortions.

Unfortunately, Trump’s rule was blocked in court after abortion activists filed suit.

Now, Biden wants to repeal the pro-life rule so it would never be implemented.

In a statement, the Department of Health and Human Services said its proposal would “restore the longstanding process for the handling of conscience complaints and provide additional safeguards to protect against conscience and religious discrimination.”

The proposal, released Thursday, would partially rescind the Trump administration’s 2019 rule that would have stripped federal funding from health facilities that required workers to provide any service they objected to, like abortions, contraception, gender affirming care and sterilization.

“Some doctors, nurses, and hospitals, for example, object for religious or moral reasons to providing or referring for abortions or assisted suicide, among other procedures. Respecting such objections honors liberty and human dignity. It also redounds to the benefit of the medical profession,” the proposal stated.

But at the same time, it noted “patients also have autonomy, rights, and moral and religious convictions. And they have health needs, sometime[s] urgent ones. Our health care systems must effectively deliver services to all who need them in order to protect patients’ health and dignity.”

Although the Constitution and numerous federal laws provide robust protections for the conscience rights of medical professionals, these laws are being violated as doctors, nurses, and medical students are being compelled to participate in abortion.
