43-year-old Isauro Garcia Cruz was arrested and charged with kidnapping after having been found with a 15-year-old from Honduras this month.
Garcia Cruz reportedly had arrest warrants out of Butler County, Ohio, and the discovery has led to an investigation for possible human trafficking.
The man is an “undocumented Mexican citizen,” according to the Bedford County Sheriff’s office, and the Honduran teen is allegedly an “unaccompanied female from Honduras.”
The sheriff’s office claimed the two were dating and she was living in Bedford County, Virginia.
Garcia Cruz has also been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
