GEORGIA SENATE CANDIDATE HERSHEL WALKER ON HIS CANDIDATE RAPHAEL WARNOCK:

“The biggest threat in democracy is with Senator Warnock and Joe Biden with this high inflation. And that’s a threat to democracy right there,” Walker said.

BACKGROUND:
  • Although Warnock received about 35,000 votes more than Walker, neither gained 50% of the vote, triggering a runoff election per Georgia law.
  • The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) announced Thursday it would be funding $7 million more in the Georgia runoff for Warnock, who has been supported by numerous Democrats including President Biden and former President Barack Obama.
  • “Raphael Warnock votes with Joe Biden 96% of the time,” Walker said on the campaign trail. “He’s forgotten about the people of Georgia.”
  • “The biggest threat to democracy is the crime that they’ve let come on the streets. And all this has happened in less than two years that they’ve been in, at the White House. And I think that is sad. I think it’s a shame. That’s one reason I decided to run because it’s time for a change, doesn’t seem that they care about this country,” Walker continued.
