Dual citizen of Canada and France Pascale Cecile Veronique Ferrier has been sent to prison after mailing poison to Donald Trump and 8 Texas law enforcement officers.
“I consider myself to be an activist, not a terrorist,” Ferrier said at her sentencing.
“Activists are constructive, terrorists are destructive,” she continued, adding, “The only regret I have is that it didn’t work and that I couldn’t stop Trump.”
The homemade ricin was made out of castor beans.
After mailing the letters, Ferrier crossed the Canada-U.S. border in a car carrying weapons and ammunition.
She was then apprehended by border patrol officers in 2020.
Reporting from The Daily Caller:
Ferrier also mailed poisoned letters to Texas officers because she believed they were personally responsible for her ten-week detainment in the state in 2019, according to the press release. Ferrier originally pled guilty to violating bioweapons prohibitions in Washington, D.C., and Texas, on Jan. 25, 2023, according to AP. District Judge Dabney L. Friedrich sentenced Ferrier to 262 months in prison and an additional lifetime sentence of supervised release, CNN reported. Ferrier will be permanently deported from the U.S. after she serves her sentence.
