Floyd Mayweather Chased by Angry Mob in London Over Support for Israel

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was chased out of London’s Hatton Garden on Tuesday after being confronted by a hostile crowd of Muslim protesters upset over his public support for Israel. Mayweather, known for his undefeated boxing career, was reportedly jewelry shopping when the incident occurred.

According to eyewitnesses who spoke with The Sun, the confrontation escalated quickly. “There were maybe about eight to ten people involved in going after him, and about 20 or 25 watching on,” one witness described. Mayweather’s security detail was outnumbered, and tensions flared when he reaffirmed his support for Israel after being questioned by the group.

“Someone asked him why he supported Israel, and he doubled down, saying he was proud to support the Jews,” the witness said. “Then someone took a swing at him because of that. It looked very targeted.”

Mayweather was swiftly escorted out of the shop by his security team while being pushed and struck by members of the crowd. Video footage circulating on social media shows Mayweather and his team surrounded by the aggressive group as they attempt to flee. His security detail managed to get him into a vehicle, which sped off moments later.

The incident highlights growing tensions in London, which have intensified amid global discussions surrounding the Israel-Palestine conflict. Critics pointed to the city’s deteriorating public safety under Mayor Sadiq Khan’s leadership.

Mayweather has been vocal about his support for Israel, describing it as his “home away from home.” He has provided humanitarian aid to the country and recently launched The Mayweather Israel Initiative to support Israeli orphans.

This latest confrontation underscores the challenges faced by public figures who express support for Israel, sparking both admiration and hostility worldwide.
