A dangerous neo-Nazi cult known as “764” is targeting children as young as nine through online platforms, coercing them into creating explicit and self-harming content, the FBI warns. The New York Post reported on May 7 that the group, which has ties to Satanism and the older “Order of Nine Angles,” is described as a “cult-like network” with hundreds of active cases under investigation across every FBI field office in the U.S.
Founded in 2020 by then-15-year-old Bradley Cadenhead, 764 operates through gaming chatrooms, social media, and apps to make contact with victims. Members use manipulation, blackmail, and threats to exploit minors, circulating disturbing content among themselves.
The group coerces teens into producing explicit videos and performing acts of self-harm and violence, such as torturing pets and carving symbols into their skin. Victims who resist are doxxed, swatted, threatened, and blackmailed.
The FBI has opened more than 250 investigations nationwide, with every one of the FBI’s 55 field offices currently handling at least one case involving the group.
Authorities advise parents to be vigilant for both typical signs of teen distress and more alarming behaviors linked to cult grooming. Recent arrests and investigations, including those of two men accused of coercing minors into self-harm and producing explicit videos, are shedding light on the group’s activities.
Officials expect a rise in cases as digital evidence leads to more suspects. The FBI has issued public warnings to help parents detect early signs of such exploitation.
