FBI Seeks Interviews with Dems From Now-Viral Video

The FBI has reached out to the House and Senate Sergeant at Arms to schedule interviews with lawmakers behind a video urging military members to refrain from following what the Democrats call “illegal orders.”

“President Trump is using the FBI as a tool to intimidate and harass Members of Congress,” Democratic Reps. Jason Crow (CO), Chris Deluzio (PA), Maggie Goodlander (NH), and Chrissy Houlahan (PA) said in a joint statement. “Yesterday, the FBI contacted the House and Senate Sergeants at Arms requesting interviews. No amount of intimidation or harassment will ever stop us from doing our jobs and honoring our Constitution.”

“We swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States,” they said. “That oath lasts a lifetime, and we intend to keep it. We will not be bullied. We will never give up the ship.”

Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) also confirmed that she is under FBI investigation. “The President directing the FBI to target us is exactly why we made this video in the first place,” she wrote on X. “He believes in weaponizing the federal government against his [perceived] enemies and does not believe laws apply to him or his Cabinet. He uses legal harassment as an intimidation tactic, to scare people out of speaking up.”

The Pentagon has also announced that Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) is under investigation following the Department of War receiving allegations of misconduct.

“A thorough review of these allegations has been initiated to determine further actions, which may include recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures,” the Pentagon said in a statement on social media, adding, “All servicemembers are reminded that they have a legal obligation under the UCMJ to obey lawful orders and that orders are presumed to be lawful. A servicemember’s personal philosophy does not justify or excuse the disobedience of an otherwise lawful order.”
