A new bombshell report exposes an emerging scandal that raises troubling questions about the Biden family’s ties to China and their willingness to bend the rules for profit. According to the Department of Justice inspector general, Joe Biden’s younger brother, James Biden, hired a retired Secret Service agent to check whether Chinese energy executive Patrick Ho faced a U.S. arrest warrant—despite telling Congress last year he had “no idea” about any investigation.
In November 2017, Biden texted the investigator: “Have info on an individual. I need a background on one specific issue.” The retired agent later told the FBI that Biden said Ho wanted to travel to the U.S. but feared arrest. Just days later, the FBI arrested Ho in New York on bribery charges, confirming Biden’s insider concerns.
The report suggests Biden may have lied under oath when he testified his background check on Ho was only for his “own edification.” House Republicans had specifically asked whether it was to uncover a federal investigation, and Biden flatly replied, “I have no idea.”
CEFC China Energy, the firm employing Ho, paid former first son Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden more than $5 million in 2017, raising alarms about foreign influence. Hunter himself once referred to Ho as “the fucking spy chief of China.”
