Dublin Police Commissioner Blames ‘Far-Right Ideology’ for Riots

After riots broke out in Dublin, Ireland following the stabbing of several people, including children, Garda Commissioner Drew Harris said the events were due to “far-right ideology.”

Some claim rioters took to the streets to protest mass migration, as the knifeman was allegedly an Algerian migrant.

Harris said the violence stemmed from a “hooligan faction driven by far-right ideology.”

Mainstream media outlets also claimed the riots were associated with “far-right” beliefs.

LibsofTikTok creator Chaya Raichik tweeted, “‘Far-right’ is when you’re against the stabbing of children.”

According to Newsweek, protests have occurred across Ireland against asylum centers, as hotels have been transformed to accommodate asylum seekers.
