An artificial intelligence (AI) volunteer named Ashley is being utilized for Pennsylvania’s Shamaine Daniels (D) congressional campaign.
Daniels is looking to unseat House Republican Representative Scott Perry.
“Hello. My name is Ashley, and I’m an artificial intelligence volunteer for Shamaine Daniels’ run for Congress,” Ashley says in phone calls.
In test calls to Politico, the AI “stayed on-script, repeating Daniel’s biographical information and policy positions.”
If Ashley did not have specific answers for broader topics, she responded, “It’s a lot to think about.”
CEO of Civox, the company behind Ashley, Ilya Mouzykantskii said, “This is going to scale fast.”
“We intend to be making tens of thousands of calls a day by the end of the year and into the six digits pretty soon. This is coming for the 2024 election and it’s coming in a very big way,” Mouzykantskii stated, adding, “The future is now.”
