Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned Democrats that anti-communist messaging put out by Republicans is effective.
Speaking to progressive journalist Kara Swisher, Clinton said, “You’re not going to convince Republican voters in Michigan, and the real fight will be how do we make sure that people who voted for Haley feel comfortable voting for Abdul El-Sayed, and how do we get independents to feel comfortable?”
“And you can see that it’s not just about Michigan, but the Republican messaging is communist, socialist. It’s going to be a very effective attack. So people on the Left have to be prepared to answer that and to be effective at answering it,” she continued.
“All I know is that’s the attack that Trump is leading with, and I assume they’ve tested it, and I assume that they have reason to believe that it’s effective, or they wouldn’t be beating the drum on it because now it’s not just him,” Clinton added. “Vance has done it; others are doing it. They are trying to, you know, bring back scare tactics about our candidates.”
A recent report highlighted on “The Alex Marlow Show” revealed that more than half of the Democratic Socialists of America’s policy committee openly supports communism and Marxism.
Julian Epstein, who served as Democratic Chief Counsel for the House Judiciary Committee, said during the broadcast that the Free Press ran a piece “showing that 51% of the policy committee, which is the governing board of the DSA, all openly embrace communism, Marxism or Marxist Leninism.”
President Trump has also warned against the rise of communism in the United States, telling audiences during June’s Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference, “This is the greatest threat to our country since its founding, in my opinion, 250 years ago, what’s happening right now. It’s the greatest threat. People don’t look at it. Three people were elected. It’s many more than three people.”
