Car Show Murders Horror: Tourists Allegedly Stalked, Gunned Down

Car show murders shocked Central Florida after three out-of-state tourists were allegedly stalked and killed in a random daytime shooting near popular vacation areas, according to their families and law enforcement. The victims had traveled to attend the Mecum Car Show and were preparing to return home when the attack occurred. Authorities say the suspect lived next door and had a long criminal history.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired at 12:14 p.m. Saturday in the Indian Point subdivision. Deputies found three men dead outside a rental home, each suffering fatal gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Robert Luis Kraft, 70, of Michigan; Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, of Ohio; and James John Puchan, 69, also of Ohio.

In a statement shared with Fox News Digital, the families said the men were waiting for help with a rental car when the suspect allegedly watched them from a distance. “There were no known interactions between the men and this individual prior to the event; they were then approached and senselessly murdered,” the family said. “This was a random, tragic act.”

Investigators identified the suspect as 29-year-old Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, a neighbor of the rental property. Deputies detained him at his home shortly after the shooting and recovered two firearms. Bojeh now faces three counts of first-degree murder and was denied bond.

Court records show Bojeh had previous arrests and was found not guilty by reason of insanity in a 2021 attempted murder case. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier criticized the system that allowed his release. “Across the country, we see violent criminals getting to walk free, back into society, because of insanity defenses,” Uthmeier said.

Sheriff Christopher Blackmon stated, “There is no threat to the community.”
