Suspected Car-Ramming Attack Injures Multiple Civilians in Northern Israel

On February 27, 2025, a suspected car-ramming attack at Karkur Junction in northern Israel resulted in multiple civilian injuries. The incident occurred at a bus station near Route 65, south of Haifa. Israeli police have apprehended the suspect, identified as a 53-year-old Palestinian from Jenin in the West Bank, who resided in Israel and was married to an Israeli citizen.

Medical responders reported that at least eight individuals sustained injuries, with two in serious condition.

An Israeli spokesperson confirmed: “Preliminary findings indicate that he deliberately targeted civilians waiting at a bus stop…The terrorist has been neutralized. This remains an active investigation.”

This attack adds to the escalating violence in the region. Recently, Israel deployed tanks into the northern West Bank for the first time in over two decades, initiating operations against Palestinian militant groups in refugee camps. These military actions have led to significant displacement, with over 40,000 Palestinians fleeing areas such as Jenin and Tulkarm.
