Californians Look to Recall Soros-Backed DA

A California county is seeking to remove its district attorney (DA).

The move comes as California’s communities have seen a rise in violent crime.

Alameda County residents have collected over 70,000 signatures on a petition to recall the Soros-backed DA Pamela Price.

The group behind the move, Save Alameda for Everybody (SAFE), only needs another 3,000 signatures to put the recall on the ballot in June 2024.

“Here’s the thing, I’ve been in Oakland my whole life, I grew up in the village, single parent … and we’ve always had crime, we’re always going to have crime, but the crimes that’s going on now is nothing near close to what we have experienced in the years,” said SAFE principal officer Brenda Grisham, according to CBS News.

Last year, San Francisco residents successfully removed District Attorney Chesa Boudin, Just the News reported.

Reporting from The National Pulse:

Los Angeles residents have also attempted to recall their DA, George Gascon, from the position earlier this summer after collecting more than half a million signatories. A large number were, however, rejected by the county. A lawsuit has been filed challenging the verdict.
