Biden’s ‘Awkward’ Normandy Appearance Captures Global Attention

A video of U.S. President Joe Biden attending a D-Day commemoration celebration in Normandy, France, has gone viral.

The video shows Biden on stage with first lady Jill Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron.

“Awkward,” wrote RNC Research.

As the video plays, Biden is seen reaching behind him and bending slightly as if he’s trying to find a chair that is not there.

The video was released in conjunction with Biden’s speech in Normandy, France, to honor D-Day, the day in World War II when Allied forces invaded five different beaches with the aim of freeing Western Europe from Nazi occupation. Biden also spoke about the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine,

Many people criticized US President Joe Biden on social media after sharing the footage of him performing.

Steve Cortes, former adviser to former President Donald Trump wrote, “Patriot World War II veterans who are more than 100 years old can stand. But Joe Biden struggles to stand for a few short moments on the 80th anniversary of D-Day. What a disgrace.”
