Biden Would Reject Resolution to End COVID State of Emergency

The White House stated President Biden would veto a proposed resolution to end the 2020 national emergency declaration for COVID. Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) suggested a vote be had to end the national emergency after Biden stated in an interview that the COVID-19 pandemic was “over.”

The White House later walked back Biden's comments, saying there had been no change in the administration's COVID-19 policy.

Marshall's proposed resolution was put on the Senate calendar in October but has not yet been put to a vote in the Democrat-controlled chamber.
