Democratic presidential contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr. disclosed during a Breitbart News Daily interview that his wife, renowned actress Cheryl Hines, has faced professional setbacks in Hollywood as a result of her support for his campaign.
Kennedy, son of the late political icon Robert F. Kennedy, also voiced his concern over the existence of cancel culture.
When asked by Breitbart News Daily’s Joel Pollak whether Kennedy shared the widespread fear of cancel culture among Americans and if Hines has experienced any pressure or fear due to her husband’s challenge to the incumbent Democratic president, Kennedy responded, “Yes. I think that is already happening.”
Pressed for more details by Pollak, Kennedy revealed that his wife had indeed lost jobs in Hollywood, stating, “I don’t want to go into details, but I can tell you that she has already lost.”
“In fact, she lost one today. I can tell you, yes, there is a cancel culture. It’s alarming,” RFK Jr. went on to say.
Kenendy was accompanied by Hines when he announced his candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination last week.
Meanwhile, a recent USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll showed that Kennedy is backed by an impressive 14% of voters who previously supported President Joe Biden.
A new NBC News poll found a majority (51%) of Democrats think Biden shouldn’t seek a second term, while 70% of Republican voters support Trump’s 2024 presidential bid.
