Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) announced his candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination on Wednesday, backed by 14% of voters who previously supported President Joe Biden, according to a USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll exclusive report.

Kennedy hails from a prominent political family and is currently best known for promoting transparency regarding vaccine injuries and conflicts of interest between the government and the pharmaceutical industry or “Big Pharma.”

The poll reveals a notable level of support for his presidential bid.

The survey, conducted from Saturday to Tuesday, indicated that only 67% of Biden’s 2020 supporters would choose to back him again over current contenders for the Democratic nomination.

RFK Jr.’s support stands at 14%, while Marianne Williamson, a self-help author and unconventional candidate during the last nomination race, holds 5%.

The remaining 13% of respondents were undecided.

This poll, carried out via landline and cellphone, surveyed 600 Biden voters identified from national and state polls taken between 2020 and 2022.

It carries a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
