Biden Not Expected to Be With Harris For Remainder of Campaign

Vice President Kamala Harris appears to be distancing herself from President Biden as she attempts to reassure undecided voters that her approach to governance would differ from his.

This shift comes after Harris struggled in earlier interviews to identify any policies she would have handled differently than Biden, a moment that delighted her Republican critics.

In a recent interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, Harris emphasized that her presidency “will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency,” citing her unique life experiences, policy proposals, and willingness to work with Republicans and business leaders.

The interview also marked a break from Biden, who has not granted an interview to Fox News during his presidency.

When asked again during a campaign stop in Michigan about policies she would have handled differently, Harris candidly acknowledged the difficulty for any vice president to criticize their president.

She pointed out that vice presidents, including her Republican predecessor Mike Pence, traditionally refrain from being critical of their presidents in order to maintain a productive working relationship.
