Details of former President Barack Obama’s letter to his ex-girlfriend about “fantasizing” about other men were revealed over the weekend.

- “In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life,” Obama allegedly wrote to McNear. “You see, I make love to men daily, but in the imagination.”
- McNear initially removed one paragraph in the letter “about homosexuality,” although she sold the original copy that ended up at Emory University, home to a collection of nine of Obama’s letters spanning from 1982 to 1984.

“My mind is androgynous to a great extent and I hope to make it more so until I can think in terms of people, not women as opposed to men. But, in returning to the body, I see that I have been made a man, and physically in life, I choose to accept that contingency,” Obama wrote.

- Earlier last week, Obama’s half-brother, Malik Obama, admitted he was supporting Trump in the 2024 presidential race.
- Malik uploaded a photo of himself to social media wearing a hat saying “F Biden,” and when asked if he would be supporting Trump, the former president’s brother responded, “Yes, I am.”
- “I wore the hat because Gary had it, and you know, Sloppy Joe, he’s not a fan of mine. I’m not a Democrat. I’m a Republican,” Malik told Breitbart News.
- The hat’s designer, Gary Grinberg, said he created the hat to show his disapproval of Biden’s time in office.
- “I designed the hat because I’m going to be vocal. I’m not going to shut my mouth. I’m not going to be a ‘hear no evil, see no evil,” Grinberg said. “I want people to see it, that’s why I made it red.”
- In July 2023, Malik caught social media by surprise after he tweeted that the former president was “definitely gay” and later deleted the post.
- Malik has been outspoken against his half-brother in the past, accusing Barack of abandoning his Kenyan family, claiming he was “cold and ruthless.”
