White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles announced that she is now cancer-free after fighting breast cancer.
“Some personal news I’m grateful to share. After a medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic this week, my pathology results came back clear,” she wrote on X. “I am cancer free.”
“Thank you to my family, friends, doctors, and everyone who prayed for me, checked in, and supported me along the way,” Wiles continued. “A special thank you to President Trump for his unwavering support. I am deeply grateful and will continue to work to advance his America First Agenda.”
President Trump announced in March that Wiles was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“Susie Wiles is an incredible Chief of Staff, a great person, and one of the strongest people I know but, unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, and has decided to take on this challenge, IMMEDIATELY, as opposed to waiting,” he wrote on Truth Social. at the time. “She has a fantastic medical team, and her prognosis is excellent! During the treatment period, she will be spending virtually full time at the White House, which makes me, as President, very happy!”
Wiles was listed as one of Forbes’ “World’s Most Powerful Women” for 2025. Forbes ranked Wiles as number 66, stating she “made history as the first female White House Chief of Staff in January 2025.” The publication further described her as a “longtime political consultant who played a major role in the 2024 presidential election, working behind the scenes to get Donald Trump re-elected by co-chairing his campaign.” Prior to working for President Trump’s campaign, Wiles served as CEO of the Republican Save America Leadership PAC and has also worked for “many Republicans across the political spectrum, including Ronald Reagan, Mitt Romney, Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis.”
