Trump Approves Development of Tiny Cars

President Trump approved the manufacturing of tiny cars in the United States.

“I have just approved TINY CARS to be built in America. Manufacturers have long wanted to do this, just like they are so successfully built in other countries. They can be propelled by gasoline, electric, or hybrid,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social. “These cars of the very near future are inexpensive, safe, fuel efficient and, quite simply, AMAZING!!! START BUILDING THEM NOW! Thank you to the DOJ and the Departments of Transportation and Environment. ENJOY!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

President Trump told reporters earlier this week that compact cars, like those seen in Asia, are “really cute.”

“They’re very small. They’re really cute,” Trump said. “And I said, ‘How would that do in this country?’ And everyone seems to think good. But you’re not allowed to build them.”

Meanwhile, the Department of Transportation launched a new initiative to reset fuel economy standards.

Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy, alongside President Trump, announced the “Freedom Means Affordable Cars” effort, a move that aims to “save American families from bearing a hidden cost-of-living increase in auto prices because of the Biden-Buttigieg illegal rule,” a press release on the matter says. The proposal is expected to save Americans $109 billion over the next five years, as well as saving families $1,000 on the average cost of a new vehicle.

“I’m proud to stand with President Trump in the Oval Office today to say that those days are over,” said Duffy. “This administration understands the freedom of every American family starts with affordable cars. That’s why our new standards will make that dream more achievable by letting auto manufacturers produce the cars that fit families’ needs at a lower price.”
