The Rockefeller Brothers Fund has poured millions of dollars into anti-Israel organizations in 2025, including several tied to terrorism and extremist activism in the United States, a review of its grantees shows. The Free Beacon uncovered that the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) has financed groups promoting pro-Hamas messaging, defending convicted terrorists, and organizing flotillas to aid Hamas-controlled Gaza.
In April, the RBF gave $135,000 to 7amleh, a group that claims to advocate for “Palestinian digital rights” but employs individuals tied to terrorism. One staffer, Ahmed Qadi, worked for Al-Haq, an organization sanctioned by the U.S. State Department for its efforts to “investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute Israeli nationals.” Another, Mohammad Badarneh, praised Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre, writing, “The only valuable and important duty for a person living under occupation is the extent of his resistance … by all means and methods.”
The fund also awarded $100,000 to Project South, a group that has defended the Hamas-linked Holy Land Foundation and called Israel’s war on terror “genocide.” Project South’s senior strategist claimed, “The war on Gaza is being used to advance fascism and white supremacy in the US.”
Additional RBF grantees include Choose Love, a flotilla supporter, and Adalah, which represents convicted terrorists’ families. Even far-left Senator Elizabeth Warren once pulled out of an event featuring RBF-funded 7amleh after backlash over its extremism.
With prominent Rockefeller heirs like Justin Rockefeller and anti-Israel pundit Peter Beinart serving as trustees, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s grants continue to raise serious concerns about American philanthropic support for organizations aligned with Hamas and anti-Semitic activism.
