Wesley Hunt Demands Epstein Files Go Public

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, has called for the release of the files linked to Jeffrey Epstein—after safeguarding the identities of Epstein’s victims. Speaking as a father of three and a former U.S. Army Apache pilot, Hunt was blunt: “If anybody harmed my children in that manner, I would rip out their thorax and feed it to them.”

Hunt addressed the issue in a recent interview with Peter Schweizer and Eric Eggers on The Drill Down, ahead of Ghislaine Maxwell’s expected testimony to the House Oversight Committee, chaired by Rep. James Comer. Maxwell, Epstein’s former associate, is currently serving time for trafficking underage girls.

Hunt dismissed leftist claims implicating President Trump in the Epstein scandal, stating: “If President Trump had been involved with Epstein or visited his island, we would have known before his first campaign. The left is hiding Hollywood CEOs and their cabal, not Trump.”

He criticized the Obama and Biden administrations for ignoring the Epstein case, calling the current action under Trump’s leadership a long-overdue step toward justice. “One of Trump’s great gifts is his ability to bring out the worst in his opponents,” Schweizer noted during the interview.

Hunt also discussed key wins in Congress’s first six months under President Trump. He supported provisions in the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” barring illegal immigrants from receiving Medicaid and defended the executive order redefining birthright citizenship. He connected his stance to his ancestry, noting, “My great-great-grandfather was born a slave… That’s who birthright citizenship was created for—not those breaking the law to enter the country.”

“We strengthened Medicaid by requiring it is reserved for American citizens only,” Hunt said, adding, “I did not fight for this country to put Americans second.”
