The White House placed lawn signs of 100 of the “worst illegal immigrant criminals” to tout those arrested during President Trump’s first 100 days of his second term.
“Good Morning from The White House!” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote on X, sharing a video of the posters lining the lawn.
MSNBC drew attention to the display, stating, “The White House has put about 100 posters of what they say is unauthorized immigrants who have been arrested for violent crimes.”
“What’s particularly noteworthy about this location is it’s right directly behind the positions where TV correspondents do their hits from the White House lawn,” the network said, adding, “If you’re doing a hit from the White House right now, those pictures will be behind you.”
The White House Rapid Response also shared the details of the 100 criminals, providing the dates and cities where the illegal immigrants were taken into custody.
Addressing reporters during a press briefing, Border Czar Tom Homan stated that he has worked in border security for over 40 years.
“I worked for six presidents, starting with Ronald Reagan. Every president I ever worked for took more security seriously. Because you can’t have national security if you don’t have strong border security,” he said, adding, “Even President Obama and President Clinton took some steps to secure the border. They understood national security was important. Joe Biden was the first president in the history of this nation who came into office and unsecured the border on purpose. That’s just a fact.”
The press briefing comes as President Trump is set to sign two executive orders, one to preserve law and order and another to protect American communities from criminal illegal immigrants.
