Gov. Josh Shapiro’s Arson Suspect 911 Call Released

A shocking new development has emerged in the investigation of a fire set at Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s official residence. FOX 29 has obtained the alleged 911 call made by the suspect, Cody Balmer, who not only admits to the arson but frames it as a political statement tied to the war in Israel and Palestine.

Balmer, who now faces a slew of charges including attempted murder, can be heard in the audio confessing to the crime while delivering a bizarre and disturbing monologue accusing Governor Shapiro of various unsubstantiated and extreme acts. He also makes personal threats and alludes to a conspiracy involving friends and family members, citing motivations that suggest a mix of political radicalism and personal grievance.

In the call, Balmer says:

“Governor Josh Shapiro needs to know that Cody Balmer will not take part in his plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people… He needs to get his eyes off of my daughters… I’m tired of offering extensions of peace… I only want to be able to provide for my children. I should not be taken to these extremes. It’s not fair.”

Balmer goes on to confess:

“You all know where to find me. I’m not hiding, and I will confess to everything that I had done.”

Authorities have not confirmed the political motivations mentioned in the call, and no evidence has been made public to substantiate any of Balmer’s accusations. Nonetheless, the call sheds light on a deeply troubling mindset and raises concerns about politically motivated violence in the United States.

Governor Shapiro, a Democrat, has not publicly commented on the 911 call or the claims made by the suspect. The fire, which caused damage to the governor’s residence, is being thoroughly investigated by law enforcement.

This incident follows a troubling pattern of unhinged individuals taking extreme actions under the guise of political protest. It underscores the growing need for accountability, mental health assessment, and vigilance in a time of heightened social tension.
