As extreme cold temperatures forced President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony indoors, conservatives gathered to celebrate the historic event at the J20 MAGA Watch Party. Hosted by Human Events and Europe’s largest conservative news station, TV Republika, the event took place at the RiverView Ballroom at Gaylord National Harbor in Maryland.
Michal Rachon, a TV Republika host, addressed the enthusiastic crowd, saying he was joined by “American and Polish friends” and proclaiming, “Let’s make our Western civilization great again!” The event highlighted the solidarity between American and Polish conservatives, with Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec emphasizing Poland’s role in organizing the event. Posobiec praised the Poles for their support, saying, “Our great friends from Poland have ridden to the rescue like the hussars they are.”
Appearing on Steve Bannon’s War Room, Posobiec estimated attendance at the event to be between 1,500 and 2,000. He expressed gratitude to the Polish attendees and organizers, underscoring the unity among conservatives worldwide.
Trump’s inauguration, initially planned as an outdoor event, was relocated to the U.S. Capitol Rotunda due to an Arctic blast bringing record-low temperatures to Washington, D.C. In a statement, Trump explained, “I don’t want to see people hurt or injured in any way.” He noted that the Capitol Rotunda was previously used for President Ronald Reagan’s 1985 inauguration under similar weather conditions.
The ceremony, broadcast to a large television audience, included prayers and speeches delivered in a historic setting. Following the official event, Trump announced plans to join supporters at the Capital One Arena, where the public was invited to watch the inauguration together.
The watch party at National Harbor underscored the enthusiasm and unity of Trump’s supporters despite the frigid weather. By bringing together conservatives from the U.S. and Europe, the event celebrated not only Trump’s leadership but also a shared commitment to preserving Western values.
