Trump Visits Western North Carolina to Survey Damage From Hurricane Helene

Former President Donald Trump visited western North Carolina this week to survey the damage from Hurricane Helene and meet those effected by the storm.

“We ask God to give you strength, comfort, and peace. When I’m President, I will stand with you until the communities are fully rebuilt,” Trump told those he met.

Despite the hurricane making landfall on September 26, the devastation continues to affect residents in the area. Many people have lost their homes, belongings, and even loved ones.

While power has been restored to some areas, others still rely on generators. Additionally, most of the region experienced a loss of running water, and officials are advising residents to boil tap water before drinking it.

During his visit, Trump met with local leaders and volunteers who have been working tirelessly to assist those impacted. One of these volunteers was Adam Smith, a former Green Beret who founded Savage Freedoms Relief Operation in response to the hurricane’s destruction.

Smith’s organization was instrumental in conducting aerial search and rescue missions in the immediate aftermath of the storm and continues to provide survivors with food, shelter, water, medicine, and other critical supplies.

The community’s resilience, combined with the efforts of volunteers like Smith, offers hope as they continue to rebuild their lives in the wake of the disaster.
