Trump Calls AI Opposition ‘Sick Conspiracy’

President Trump took to Truth Social to condemn calls for restrictions on artificial intelligence, calling anti-AI ideas circulating within the United States a “sick conspiracy.”

“The only control or ‘guardrails’ that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades! The Trump Administration has stopped AI ‘people’ from doing bad, or potentially bad, ‘things,’ like Dario (Anthropic!), who is now pretending to be a ‘perfect little angel’ – and we will continue to do so!” he wrote. “We already have tremendous CRIMINAL and REGULATORY power over these companies! There is a SICK conspiracy going on against AI and Data Centers, and the only one that is happy about it is China. WHOEVER WINS AI, WINS! We are leading China, and all others, and will continue to do so. Conspiracy Theorists, Treasonists, Traitors, and Leakers, BEWARE! Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

“The only reason the AI/Data Center outburst is happening is because the United States is leading, by a lot, every other country,” he added in a later post. “Don’t kill the Golden Goose!”

President Trump also addressed AI while speaking to reporters in Ireland. “We’re leading China in AI,” he said. “We’re the most sophisticated country in the world, and frankly, I want to keep it that way because whoever wins AI, wins.”

“We can put guardrails, we can do this and that,” Trump explained. “But I think you have a lot of very negative forces that are bringing it up that shouldn’t be bringing it up and they’re bringing up things that won’t happen.”
