Former President Donald Trump promised to use military personnel to deport millions of illegal migrants if he’s elected again.
Trump said in a recent interview that he would mostly would rely on the National Guard to deport the more than 11 million undocumented migrants in the country.
“If they weren’t able to, then I’d use [other parts of] the military,” Trump told Time.
When asked if he would consider the Posse Comitatus Act, which prohibits the use of military force on civilians, Trump claimed they would not apply to the rule.
“Well, these aren’t civilians,” he said. “These are people that aren’t legally in our country.”
Trump also added local police would be used for help, and refusal to do so would be denied funding.
“There’s a possibility that some won’t want to participate, and they won’t partake in the riches,” Trump said.
In December 2022, American Faith reported that President Joe Biden had cut deportations of illegal aliens drastically in heavily populated areas across the US.
Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued “sanctuary country” orders two times that year in an effort to ensure millions of illegal immigrants were not eligible for arrest and deportation back to their country.
Public records from the Center for Immigration Studies revealed that the current administration has reduced deportations of illegals in all but two of the nation’s most populated counties.
Most notably, Biden’s DHS eliminated deportations by more than 90 percent in four of the highest volume counties in the US, including Gwinnett County, Georgia, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, Bergen County, New Jersey, and Kankakee County, Illinois.
