‘Sound of Freedom’ Ranks Top Ten in 2023 Box Office

The film “Sound of Freedom” beat Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” in the top ten domestic box office for 2023.

According to Christian Headlines, the film finished no. 10 at the domestic box office with a gross of $184,177,725.

Taylor Swift’s film finished at no. 11 with $179,635,196.

“Sound of Freedom,” starring Jim Caviezel, was more successful than larger-budget films like “Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny” and “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One.”

“Barbie” was the top-grossing movie of 2023, earning $636 million.

“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” finished with $574 million, followed by “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” with $381 million.

When “Sound of Freedom” was released in July, several left-wing media outlets criticized the film depicting human trafficking, calling it “QAnon-adjacent” and a “fit for QAnon” movie.

American Faith reported that “Sound of Freedom” filmmaker and actor Eduardo Verástegui filed to run for president in Mexico’s 2024 election as an independent candidate.

His campaign banner is “God, Fatherland, and Family,” and seeks to emphasize putting an “end to child trafficking.”

“After a period of discernment, I made the most important decision of my life: I have just registered with the INE my intention as an aspiring independent candidate for the presidency of the Mexican Republic, for the elections on June 2, 2024,” Verástegui tweeted.

“My fight is for life. My fight is for freedom. It is time to remove the same as always from power. Our country needs a new way of doing politics, to eradicate corruption and impunity. We are on time! Let’s go with everything, for our Mexico!”
