President Joe Biden reportedly trashed the Israeli government during a private fundraiser in Washington, D.C. last week.
“This is the most conservative government in Israel’s history,” Biden said during the event.
The Times of Israel claimed that Biden accused Israel of “indiscriminate bombing” in Gaza.
Biden also said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had to accept a Palestinian state and should replace members of his governing coalition.
“US President Joe Biden says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu needs to change his hardline government that has made it very difficult for the international community to back Israel in the war against Hamas. The president also says Israel is losing global support due to its “indiscriminate bombing” in Gaza,” the outlet reported.
Netanyahu has opposed the return of the Palestinian Authority to Gaza, as his government is reportedly drafting a different plan.
