A poll from Economist/YouGov found 20% of young Americans think the Holocaust is a “myth.”
Those between the ages of 18-29 were asked if they believed “the Holocaust is a myth,” and 20% agreed.
Thirty percent of respondents said they did not know “whether the Holocaust is a myth.”
Almost a quarter (23%) of young Americans also reported agreeing with the statement “The Holocaust has been exaggerated.”
Twenty-eight percent of young Americans also said “Jews have too much power in America.”
Sixty-five percent of respondents across all ages agreed with the statement.
Forty percent of young people reported that “Israel is deliberately trying to wipe out the Palestinian population.”
The majority of all poll respondents, however, said Israel has the right to exist.
