Lycoming County, Pennsylvania will begin recounting 2020 votes for president and state auditor general on January 9. The Board of Elections for the county voted in October to recount votes for president and a state office in an effort to prove electronic tabulation is accurate. In the county, Trump outpolled Biden 41,462 to 16,971.
From Penn Live:
Nearly 60,000 ballots will be counted by up to 40 county employees who will be pulled off their normal jobs. They first will be trained by elections director Forest Lehman. The cost of the recount has not been determined, Commissioner Scott L. Metzger said Wednesday. No one extra is being hired, he said.
