MSNBC Guest Accuses Trump Voters of Racism and Misogyny

Princeton professor and MSNBC guest Eddie Glaude has criticized the 78 million Americans who voted for President Donald Trump in the 2024 election, asserting that their choice was driven by an unwillingness to elect a Black woman. During an interview with MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace, Glaude stated that those who voted for Trump “didn’t want to elect a Black woman.”

Glaude expressed concern over the motivations behind voters’ decisions, suggesting that the preference for Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris indicated a willingness to throw away democracy, adding, “I don’t know what it’s going to take for 78 million Americans to deal with what motivated them to make this, and the choice that they’ve made, we have to just be honest, is to literally throw the republic into the trash bin.”

Glaude went on to add, “We chose a felon who is more interested in loyalty, who is more interested in retribution, who is more interested in grift than in democracy, and we chose a felon because we didn’t want to elect a Black woman.

“So to read that, to actually explicate that is to say we would rather destroy the republic than for that to have happened, and until we grapple with it, there’s no amount of protesting I could do, there’s no amount of resistance that could come into play to actually force 78 million people to grapple with what motivated them to put themselves in this position.”

Host Nicolle Wallace concurred with Glaude’s assessment, adding that the 78 million Trump voters supported someone who “wants to shred the Constitution.”

This perspective aligns with sentiments previously expressed by other media figures. For instance, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough attributed Trump’s victory to misogyny and racism among minority voters, stating that some Hispanic and Black men “do not want a woman leading them.”

For many, support for President Trump reflects a desire to restore national strength, economic freedom, and traditional values—not hatred or prejudice. Labeling voters as morally deficient for rejecting far-left leadership only deepens divisions and reinforces the need for bold, unapologetic conservative leadership in 2024 and beyond.
