White House Unveils ‘Freedom 250’

President Donald Trump announced “Freedom 250,” a national organization leading the celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary.

“Working together with the White House Task Force 250, federal agencies, and the Commission, Freedom 250 serves as the official public-private partnership that connects, aligns, and amplifies national and local efforts to deliver the defining presidential moments of this anniversary year,” the organization’s website says. The movement comprises of citizens, groups, companies, and leaders across the country “to honor our nation’s proud history, cherish our God-given freedoms, and build the Golden Age of Opportunity for the next 250 years.”

President Trump said in a video that Freedom 250 will “renew the patriotism, pride, and pioneering spirit of America and lay the groundwork for the next 250 years of independence and freedom. This will be a time like you’ve never had in your lives, America 250.” Several of the events Trump highlighted in the video include the Washington Monument “illuminated with festive birthday lights,” the Great American State Fair, and the nation’s first “Patriot Games.”

Freedom 250 CEO Keith Krach said 2026 will “mark a celebration of America unlike anything we have ever done and I am grateful to President Trump for the opportunity to execute his vision for Freedom 250.” He added that Freedom 250 will “reignite the pioneering spirit that defines America to strengthen the foundation for the next 250 years of independence, opportunity, and freedom.”

America250 similarly celebrated the launch of Freedom 250, stating that the organization will be “instrumental in providing Task Force 250 with a clear funding mechanism to advance its Presidential initiatives.”
