White House Releases ‘Mythbuster’ Memo on ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’

The White House released a memo exposing a “hoax” made against President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”

Called a “mythbuster” by the Trump administration, the memo asserts that “Democrats have totally lost the plot — opposing middle class tax cuts, an expanded child tax credit, border security, and more.”

The memo condemns Democrats for spreading the “hoax” that the “One Big Beautiful Bill is ‘bad for our families.'”

Democrats are “opposing the largest tax cut in history, which will put an extra $5,000 in their pockets with a double-digit percent decrease to their tax bills. In fact, Americans earning between $30,000 and $80,000 will pay around 15% less in taxes,” the memo says, noting the Democrats are also opposing “NO TAX ON TIPS for the millions of Americans who work in the service industry and NO TAX ON OVERTIME for law enforcement, nurses, and more,” as well as the “historic tax cuts for senior citizens.”

The memorandum further accuses Democrats of opposing a “boost to the child tax credit” and “new savings accounts for newborns and the chance for children across America.”

A separate “mythbuster” memo criticized the claim that “people will ‘literally die’ because of the One Big Beautiful Bill.”

Some notable Republicans have raised concerns with the bill. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) wrote on social media, “I want to see the tax cuts made permanent, but I also want to see the $5 trillion in new debt removed from the bill. At least 4 of us in the Senate feel this way.”

President Trump declared on Truth Social that Paul “has very little understanding of the BBB, especially the tremendous GROWTH that is coming. He loves voting ‘NO’ on everything, he thinks it’s good politics, but it’s not. The BBB is a big WINNER!!!”
