The White House and the Department of Justice (DOJ) reportedly tried to conceal the classified document case until it was exposed by the media. The Washington Post reported that “early on, Biden’s attorneys and Justice Department investigators both thought they had a shared understanding about keeping the matter quiet.” White House officials acknowledged the discovery of the documents upon being questioned by CBS News, but failed to share that there was also a second batch of classified materials found.
