Watch President Donald Trump’s GOP Convention Speech

Both CNN and Fox News declined to air President Donald Trump’s first official speech in three months at the GOP convention in North Carolina, according to Newsweek.

As Trump began his speech at the Greenville Convention Center, Newsmax and One America News did show Trump live. But, as CNN’s Brian Stelter pointed out on Twitter, Fox was “sticking with a pre-taped ‘Watters World’ instead.”

The Atlantic White House reporter Peter Nicholas joined Stelter by pointing out that Fox hadn’t even aired a “portion” of President Trump’s speech.

Fox’s snub comes just days after President Trump blamed Chris Wallace for the network’s ratings decline. Fox fell into third place among cable news broadcasters immediately following the Jan. 6 unrest at the Capitol, also according to Newsweek.

“It’s because of Chris Wallace,” President Trump told host Dick Morris of Newsmax. “He was disastrous. It was your basic disaster and he’s just a very negative guy and the people don’t want to hear that. That’s why they tune out.”

Trump also slammed Fox News’ coverage of the 2020 presidential election. “One of the biggest differences is in the election—even though I won 75 million votes, which is far more than I won the first time—if you look at Fox, how they did versus how they did in 2016. It was night and day, a big difference and people are very angry about it,” he said.
