Walmart is to close its locations in Portland, Oregon, as the stores have not been meeting “financial expectations.” Walmart CEO Doug McMillon stated more store closures may come across the nation as many cities are experiencing “rampant retail theft.” McMillon added, “Theft is an issue. It’s higher than what it has historically been.”

Portland has recorded astronomical spikes in violent and property crimes since far-left militants have largely been given free reign in the city since 2019. Between 2019 and 2021, the city’s homicide rate spiked 207%, one of the highest increases in the nation.
