WHAT THE IDAHO LEGISLATION COVERED:
- Idaho’s anti-CRT legislation banned teachers from “indoctrinating” students into believing that one race, sex, religion, ethnicity, or national origin are inferior, or superior to other groups.
- Anti-CRT legislation is also marked by the belief that no person should be discriminated against, or adversely treated because of their race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity or national origin.
- It also stipulates that no one’s moral character is inherently determined by those factors.

- The state passed House Bill 377, which prevents public schools and universities from teaching CRT, passed through the state legislature and was signed into law last April.
- Similar bills have been signed into law in four other states, and legislation has been introduced concerning CRT in 17 other states.
